At Whionever DIY, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your DIY craft kit for any reason, we're here to help. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.
1. Our 14-Day Return Policy
You may return unopened and unused DIY craft kits within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. To be eligible for a return, your kit must be:
- In its original, unopened packaging
- In the same condition as when you received it
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation email or receipt)
- Returned within 14 days from the date of delivery
The 14-day period begins on the day you receive your order, not the day you placed it.
2. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email us at [email protected] or call +91-1244567890 within 14 days of receiving your order
- Provide Details: Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and reason for return
- Await Authorization: We'll send you a Return Authorization (RA) number and return instructions within 24-48 hours
- Package Your Return: Securely package the item(s) in the original packaging with all components included
- Ship the Return: Send the package to the address provided in your return instructions. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error
- Track Your Return: Keep your tracking number and shipping receipt as proof of return
Important: Returns sent without prior authorization or without an RA number may be refused or delayed.
3. Return Shipping Costs
3.1 Customer Responsibility
In most cases, you are responsible for paying return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items sent without tracking.
3.2 Our Responsibility
We will cover return shipping costs if:
- The item arrived damaged or defective
- We sent the wrong item
- The item is significantly different from what was described on our Website
In these cases, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label or reimburse your shipping costs upon return.
4. Refund Process and Timeline
4.1 Inspection
Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets the return eligibility criteria (unopened, unused, original condition).
4.2 Approval
If your return is approved, we will send you an email confirmation. If your return is denied (e.g., item was opened or used), we will contact you to discuss options.
4.3 Refund Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect your return. The refund will be issued to your original payment method:
- Credit/Debit Card: 7-10 business days (may take longer depending on your bank)
- UPI: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfer: 7-10 business days
- Cash on Delivery (COD): Bank transfer to account details you provide (7-10 business days)
4.4 Refund Amount
Your refund will include:
- Full product price
- Original shipping charges (only if the return is due to our error)
Your refund will NOT include:
- Return shipping costs (unless the return is due to our error)
- Any gift wrapping or customization fees (if applicable)
5. Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different kit or size, please:
- Return the original item following our return process
- Place a new order for the item you want
This ensures you receive your new item as quickly as possible without waiting for the return to be processed.
6. Damaged or Defective Items
We take great care in packaging our DIY kits, but occasionally items may arrive damaged during shipping or have manufacturing defects.
6.1 What to Do
If you receive a damaged or defective item:
- Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage or defect
- Include your order number and a description of the issue
- Do NOT discard any packaging or materials
6.2 Our Response
We will review your claim and, if approved, offer one of the following options:
- Replacement: We'll send a replacement kit at no cost
- Refund: Full refund without requiring the item to be returned
- Partial Refund: If only part of the kit is affected and you wish to keep the rest
All shipping costs for replacements will be covered by us.
7. Wrong Item Received
If we shipped the wrong item to you:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery
- Keep the wrong item in its original, unopened condition
- We'll arrange for a free return pickup and send the correct item immediately
You will not be charged for return shipping, and we'll expedite shipping of the correct item.
8. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
8.1 Opened or Used Kits
Once a craft kit has been opened or any components have been used, it cannot be returned for hygiene and quality reasons. We cannot resell used materials.
8.2 Clearance and Sale Items
Items marked as "Final Sale," "Clearance," or with significant discounts (over 50% off) are not eligible for return.
8.3 Perishable or Consumable Items
Certain craft supplies, such as live plants (in terrarium kits) or items with expiration dates, may have modified return policies noted on the product page.
8.4 Custom or Personalized Kits
DIY kits that have been customized or personalized to your specifications cannot be returned unless defective.
8.5 Digital Products
Downloadable tutorials, patterns, or digital guides cannot be returned once accessed.
9. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received your refund within the expected timeframe:
- Check Your Bank Account: Allow for processing time by your financial institution
- Contact Your Bank: There may be a delay before your refund is officially posted
- Contact Us: If you've done the above and still haven't received your refund, email us at [email protected] with your order number and refund confirmation
10. Cancellations
10.1 Before Shipment
You may cancel your order free of charge if:
- The order has not yet been shipped
- You contact us within 24 hours of placing the order
Contact us immediately at [email protected] with your order number to request cancellation. If approved, you'll receive a full refund within 3-5 business days.
10.2 After Shipment
Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled. You may refuse delivery or follow our standard return process once the item is delivered.
11. Refused or Undeliverable Packages
If you refuse delivery or if a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address you provided:
- You will be refunded the product cost minus shipping charges
- Original and return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund
- If you want the item reshipped, you must pay for shipping again
Please ensure your shipping address is accurate when placing your order.
12. Restocking Fee
We do NOT charge a restocking fee for standard returns. However, if you return an item that does not meet our return criteria (e.g., opened, used, or damaged by customer), we reserve the right to deduct up to 20% from your refund or deny the return.
13. Bulk or Corporate Orders
Returns for bulk orders (10+ kits) or corporate orders may be subject to different terms. Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss bulk return policies.
14. International Orders
Currently, we only ship within India. If this changes in the future, international returns will be subject to additional terms and customs procedures, which will be communicated separately.
15. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays in processing refunds or returns due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or pandemics.
